Patchwork quilt with a national touch (230 x 175 cm)

A patchwork quilt with a gentle folk feel: Nordic in its restraint, classically elegant, in romantic earthy tones. The pattern is full of eight-pointed star symbols. Quilt size 175 x 230 cm. It suits a bed about 140 cm wide (Full/Double). The eight-pointed star, the cross with eight tips, the light-radiating cross, known in Estonia as the Muhu pine, is widely known across Europe as a magical good-luck sign and as a symbol of love and fertility. It was also known as the symbol of Venus, the morning star, light against darkness. As the symbol of the North Star it is a guide, pointing out both the main compass directions and the ones between them: northeast, southeast, southwest, northwest. Material: the pattern is made of cotton and linen fabrics, filled with lofty polyester wadding. The fabrics have been prewashed. The surface is densely quilted through, which makes it an ideal bedspread, strikingly textured, crease-resistant and hard-wearing in the wash. The quilt is machine washable on a wool programme. Use a washing gel, which keeps the fabrics soft even after repeated washing. With colourful quilts it is a good idea to add a colour catcher sheet to the machine.
