The flower garden blog has gone without an update for several years now. Craft and poultry have taken me over. The garden has grown so large and rich that it is sometimes a little beyond my strength.
Last year all the flower bulbs were lifted for the summer, cleaned, sorted, catalogued and labelled. And put back in the ground in the autumn. I drew proper plans of where and which flowers were planted. Where I did not know the name of the thing, I noted the colour, the height, a description of the bloom and the order of flowering.
But in spring there was so much to do with the chicks that I never got a single picture of the early flowers. All those splendid tulips, daffodils and other lovely bulbs.
I have now taken a few pictures of the June flowers in my garden: the first garden irises, the last tulips and daffodils, my flowering pile of stones and so on.
