Spring in Øksfjord is a handmade patchwork quilt that brings playfulness, colorful joy and Nordic calm to the bedroom. The quilt, in size 235 × 235 cm, fits a double bed perfectly. The quilt is sewn from carefully chosen fabric squares, with a palette based on calm tones: grey and snow-white, contrasted with the colors of spring flowers — as if a snow-cold mountain landscape had been scattered with spring blossoms: oranges, blues, turquoise, greens, pinks, burgundy. The patchwork quilt is machine-quilted with a decorative cloud pattern, which gives the quilt a light relief texture and also makes the quilt more durable in use. The quilt, in size 235 × 235 cm, is ideal as a wedding gift, birthday gift, or for some other special occasion, but also for everyday use. ✦ Material: 100% cotton (top layer and lining) ✦ Filling: thin polyester fiber — light and breathable, allergy-free material. How and how quickly will my order arrive?
We ship orders to a parcel machine or by courier across Europe. All products in the shop are dispatched within 2–7 business days. For special orders we agree the delivery time separately.
Can I return or exchange a product?
Yes, products bought from the online shop have a 14-day right of return from the date you receive them. The item must be unused and in its original condition. Items made specially to order cannot be returned.
How do I care for woolen and linen products?
We recommend washing woolen and linen handmade products by hand in lukewarm water with a gentle detergent, and drying them laid flat. Avoid hard wringing, heat and the tumble dryer so the item keeps its shape and colour.
Do you make custom orders?
Yes, we're happy to make products to order — for example in the colour, size or with the embroidery you want. Get in touch and we'll talk through your wishes.

In my work I place great emphasis on quality and sustainability. I mainly sew handmade products for the home, office, kindergarten, school and as gift bags, using leftovers from large-scale production and materials sourced from second-hand shops (upcycled/zero-waste).
Mailis Design products have supported various youth sports and cultural events, scouts and the local village society, Tallinn Zoo, children with cancer, homeless animals, large families and more.
