Patchwork quilt AUTUMN IN THE HOME GARDEN (250 x 250 cm)
A day blanket / patchwork quilt in size 250 x 250 cm. In the patchwork world this kind of work is called a "Scrap Quilt". It is true patchwork, where you don't buy new fabrics in a set colour palette for the pattern but instead take a pile of fabric scraps and strips left over from other sewing projects and combine them into a pattern. For this piece I was inspired by my own home garden in autumn colours. I enjoy gardening just as much as patchwork, and this quilt now brings together my two favourite hobbies. The pattern uses cotton fabrics. Cotton backing. Filled with polyester batting, an allergy-free material. The blanket is machine washable on a wool wash programme. We recommend using a laundry gel that keeps the fabrics soft even after repeated washing. For brightly coloured blankets we recommend adding a colour-catcher sheet to the machine. The product is made in a smoke-free and pet-free environment.
